Therese Gramercy . . . the girl named Trees

Snowy evergreen

It lights up our daily world,
it keeps us warm at night,
it powers up our corporate work,
and every corner of our lives.

We dig it from the earth,
we squeeze it from the rocks,
we siphon it from the wind,
we collect it from the sun.

We harness it from falling waters,
we recycle it from our trash,
in our never-ending survival search,
to concoct enough energy to last.
